Gas prices/diesal 4.19.gal?

hi my dad isa owner-operator truck driver. we heard recently that all owner operators will be able to get diesal for 2.00/ gallon. with some kind of card. is that true? if how long do you think it will take for them to approve this/

That is non sense. I have my sister inlaw that runs a farm, and uses a ton of diseal. If there was any truth to it I would of heard something., and would be buying a diseal jetta or something.

No, there's not truth to that. The fuel companies would take too much of a financial hit. The only discount on diesel I know of is regarding to HSOR (high sulfur off road) diesel for farming equipment, and that's just because it's exempt from paying taxes.

Though, paying $2.00/gal for diesel would be great. Heck, paying $4.19/gal for diesel would be great. It's rough paying $4.69/gal for diesel, and trying to keep up with bills.

no truth whatsoever to that. many owner operators are selling their vehicles and going to work for fleets due to the increased gas prices.  the backbone of our country for years these drivers have been.  i hope things work out in the long run for everyone.
