  1. Yes they are terribly ridiculous.  Those that answered they hoped gas goes up, are very ignorant.  I go nowhere except to work and back.  My husband and I drive a total of 160 miles a day between us.  It is still not an option to move to town that we work.  Good grief - am I forced to buy a home in a town I don't want to live in just because of gas prices?  We don't go anywhere except to work and back - don't want to waist that gas.  It takes a big chunk of what we make just to pay for fuel to drive to work.  So we HAVE changed our driving habits- no fun- just work.  For the dummy that wrote about his bike- you can't get a load of groceries on a bike - you can't drive 40 miles one way to work on a bike, and the livery stables are extinct, so the horse to work probably would not be very feasible... get real..

  2. I'm not outraged at all. I hope they go higher. It will get more people on bikes, or horses :)  . It will take traffic off the road. People driving less and less will make air cleaner, and increase the need for good bike paths and routes. The prices are 4.45 in NorCal. My vehicle gets infinity mpg. It's a bike.

  3. I am in Florida and gas prices range from 3.99 to 4.14 but i don't complain. I have been doin alot of research and have come to some conclusions,  one alternative this guy Oliver South convereted his BMW to water gas fuel. He has a video that shows step by step how anyone can do this. There is also a review website that I found in my research that covered  a few other companies that are doing the same thing. You might want  to check the review site at http://waterfuelconversion.googlepages.c...

  4. Oh they are nothing less than outrageous. Gas in my area ranges from $4.59-$4.79 regular, and premium is about $4.93-$5.15.

we have 3 cars in the family, my car takes premium fuel only and it costs about $60 to fill up and i get about 16mpg on it. 07 odyssey we have costs about $85+ to fill up, gets about 22-25mpg. And the best of them all, 08 civic lx coupe, gets about 35mpg. Love that car. last time i filled up it only cost like $47 too. (SAD when $47 is cheap)

  5. I remember being on holiday in Florida in 1998 and I think I was paying about $1 a US Galllon where it was costing me 4 or 5 times the price in the UK back then,

You guys got it cheap still in the US, its more than $9 a US Gallon for standard unleaded in the UK and more than $9.60 for a US Gallon for Diesel.

I have been somewhat been outraged by the sheer size and consumption of gas by big US cars or even midsize and intermdeiate. It has always been inevitable at some point due to the greed of businessmen (including President Bush who has a large hand in Oil!), higher consumtion around the world, war and reduced supply for various reasons that prices will go up.

So why is it that US turned a blind eye to climate change but is now dancing up and down because they cant afford to run their cars that consume too much gas in the first place, even though prices go up.

Americans should have been making and buying more fuel effecient cars a long time ago but the government has sucked you up (without  a decent public transport network) and the oil companies are rubbing their hands.

For me, my car does about 40-55 mpg depending on how I drive. Its not a small car by UK standards, its actually an estate car so I can put more in the trunk.

Like everyone else, I have the choice to change my car to an even more fuel efficient model (yes we do have them over here that can do upto 70 mpg) or find alternate arrangements or solutions.

So what is reduculous I ask, the price of your gas or the size of your car in comparison to the rest of the world?!

  6. Yes gas prices are very rediculous, and i'm very outraged. The gas prices where i stay is 3.95 for unleaded regular, 4.05 for plus, and 4.15 for premium. Thats at the cheapest store. I don't know how long it's gonna stay that price because it seem like everyday they move the prices. My Cars Miles per gallon are 12 in the city and 16 highway miles for my SUV, my other cars are about the same at 27 city and 32-35 highway miles.

  7. i am in SC and the gas near me was 3.83 when i came home tonight. i also live in a rural area and my car only gets about 20mpg in town and maybe 25 on the hwy
