  1. no, it will have zero impact.  Unless the gas companies raise prices just because we irritated them.

  2. well if everyone doesnt buy gas tommrow... we can cost the united state 70 billion dollars in just one day..... its just to state a point

  3. sounds good................it might, can't go up any faster can it?........

  4. do you mean the one in Scotland. if so I understand most of that gas went to England

  5. That's what I have been saying for some time now, but a one or two day gas out will not work, if we boycott one oil company for 1 month, it will work because they will have to lower there prices to make room for the inventory coming in, Lets say company A is selling gas and company B is not, then company B will lower there price to beat company A price, then there are price wars between company A and B... Lets just say we try for June 1st for the boycott, if we do this our lives will still be normal, we can still buy gas, just not from a certain gas company.

  6. You would have to boycott gas for the rest of your life for it to work. If you could boycott gas for a month. That would help to bring down the price of gas. The problem is, once you start buying it again. Once the demand is back up. So is the price.

Oil is produce in so many countries today and is traded on the GLOBAL market. The market determines the price of oil based on supply and demand. YOU and ME.

We have to find a way to do without oil. or at least cut waaaaay back on the use.

  7. No, because everyone will just fill up on Friday, May 1 or wait until Monday, May 4th - either way the gas stations will still be getting your money - the day of the week doesn't really affect things.

  8. No.

That said I hereby pledge not to buy gas for a really long time.

I ride a bike to work.  I think you should all send me the money you are saving because I am not creating more of a demand for gasoline.

The sad part of the gas strike... y'all fuel up on the day before and drive anyway.  Y'all should also strike on using fuel - not simply refusing to buy it during a specific time frame.  What's the point if you're still using gas!?!?!

  9. yes it will.  major dude!!!!
