Gas versus Electric Range

I am planning to purchase a range. But I am wondering what is better a gas or electric range.

gas. its faster, plus if the power goes out, you can still use it unlike an electric one.

Gas is initially more expensive but will save energy over electric. Gas is much more "adjustable" which makes it easier to control heat.

A quality gas range will outlive an electric one of comparable quality.

If you like to cook, gas is by far the best choice. It heats up quicker, you can control the volume of heat better, and it cools down quicker also.
