  1. GOOD

A high energy output per volume, allowing a gas powered car to travel long distances and move heavy loads compared to other fuel sources.

Gasoline is easy to refuel by the driver, compared to pressurized gases.

Gasoline is very quick to refuel, compared to hours for charging an electric vehicle.

Petroleum is easily harvested, coming out of a hole in the ground.

The CO2 released by combustion is natural plant fertilizer, contributing to the 'greening' of the Earth.  Today's plants are starved for CO2, since the last ice age severely depleted the atmospheric content of the stuff.  For this reason, greenhouse growers use artificial CO2 generators to help their plants grow.

    BAD

Burning gasoline also creates other pollutants that are not healthy to breathe.

Petroleum is a hotly contested commodity and dependence on it leads to international conflict, such as Saddam Hussein's invasion of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

If a foreign nation knocks our America's gasoline supplies, this nation comes crashing down hard.

For this reason, I'm a big fan of President Bush's progress on geothermal and hydrogen energy, in combination.  Nearly a free energy source that won't run out for millions of years.

  2. We should get away from Gasoline use as soon

as possible. It was a good choice in the beginning

but is the wrong one right now!!

  3. Gas is a bio fuel as it was created by plant or animal life at one time.

Gas is no different than fuel from corn, except it provides more energy than it takes to process.

  4. It is presently the best fuel as the good earth is working with plants to recycle our fossil fuels.
