  1. I suppose the density of gasoline is given in grams per milliliter (cc)

    and the tank holds 15.2 gallons of gasoline.  Since there are 3.785

    liters in 1 gallon, the tank holds 15.2 * 3.785 or 57.532 liters. or

    57532 ml.  Since each ml. has a mas of 0.737 gram, the full tank

    would have a mass of 57532 * 0.737, or 42401 grams.

  3. This is a very badly written question. If the tank can only hold 15.2g of any substance then it will only be able to hold 15.2g of gasoline. However, we can work out the volume of gasoline needed to fill the tank using the following equation:

    Density = Mass/Volume

    If the density is 0.737 grams per litre and the mass of the gasoline used is 15.2g then:

    0.737 = 15.2/Volume.

    If we rearrange the equation above we get:

    Volume = 15.2/0.737

    Volume = 20.624 (to 3 decimal places) units cubed.

    Volume = 20624 cm^3 (or centimetres cubed).

  4. 15.2 grams!

    But I suspect you want the tank size to be in gallons not grams.

    convert gallons to liters (Euro measure); about 3.7_ l/gal, but look it up

    convert liters to ml (decimal move)

    multiply ml by 0.737 g/ml

    and the answer IS? BE sure that the answer does NOT have more than 3 significant digits!!

    Also do the math yourself as you will find different answers to your inquery. Others may not have moved those decimals in the right direction, or used them at all.
