Gassin Golf to make winning comeback in Regeneration Handicap, Lindoro favourite for Ambrose Hire Handicap at Haydock
Last-time-out winners Gabrial The Hero and Countess Ferrama make plenty of appeal, but the Northern Trust Investment, Development, Land Regeneration Handicap is an ideal chance for Gassin Golf to return to action with a bang
at Haydock on Wednesday, June 13, 2012.
As a 2-year-old juvenile, Gassin Golf achieved a lot last season. After finishing second on his debut at Lingfield, Sir Mark Prescott Bt’s trainee registered his maiden success at Kempton in August last year.
Despite the fact that the recently-turned 3-year-old was not impressive in his previous outing, one can expect him to do some damage after a long lay-off. Haydock’s ground is also going to suit him and there is no reason why
he should not present a wonderful show on his comeback today.
Among his rivals in the 1m6f are: Gabrial The Hero, Winner´s Wish, Countess Ferrama, Juno The Muffinman, Naseem Alyasmeen and Nice Rose. The class 4 meeting will be kicked off at 14:20 (GMT). The successful runner will walk
away with a handsome cash prize worth £4,075.
Gabrial The Hero was a comfortable winner in his recent appearance at Haydock, but things are completely different this time. Similar is the case with Winner's Wish, who crushed her opposition at Sandown not more than a few
weeks ago. So, it is good to support Gassin Golf, who is full of energy following a long vacation.
Digging, Lifting, Rolling With Ambrose Hire Handicap is another class 4 meeting at Haydock today. The officials are set to start the 1-mile event at 16:20 (GMT).
Among the confirmed participants are: Lindoro, The Osteopath, First Post, Point North, Postscript, European Dream and Icy Blue.
An upset is unlikely in the £4,075 event, as Lindoro seems to be in great position to dominate the proceedings. With two consecutive wins lately, the 7-year-old proved himself rejuvenated for his new trainer, Brian Ellison.
Marju’s son was second in his last appearance at Carlisle and has a good chance of making an improvement today. The Osteopath is also a talented runner, but will not be able to make things tricky for the favourite. We wish the
best of luck to everyone.
