Gastón Puerari leaves Chicago Fire, Frank Klopas eyes http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sebastián-Grazzini-c32727 as replacement – MLS News
Major League Soccer outfit, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Atlas-c38538. The player had only joined the Illinois-based team at the start of the ongoing season.
The striker played all 14 matches prior to his transfer but his shooting boots went amiss as could only muster a single goal during his stay.
The Uruguayan had been under the Mexican club’s radar for some time now and the new Atlas coach, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Omar-c28540 Romano, finally contacted the Fire regarding Puerari’s services.
The Firemen head coach, now left with a void in the roster, seems keen to find a replacement at the earliest.
Already depleted with international call-ups to key players, the outfit cannot survive another player gone from Toyota Park with the league entering a critical phase. Moreover, the team found its way back into the season after a whopping 11-match winless
streak broken only last week, where the Fire edged past http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Columbus-Crew-c38850 by a narrow 1-0 score line.
The head coach does not want to lose momentum at such a critical juncture and has thus started looking for a new recruit to bolster the squad.
The Mexican media has linked Pavel Pardo with a move to the outfit. Pardo, who plays for Club http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/America-c38390, has scored only three goals in two years for the outfit. Klopas is yet to deny contact with the player but has not explicitly revealed interest either.
However, the coach did speak highly of the Mexican’s skills.
“Pável is a good player,” he said. “He’s a quality player and we’re looking at many different options. We’re going to make a selection that we think is best suited for our team now and in the future.”
The tactician, though, has shown interest in the Argentinean striker, Sebastián Grazzini, who plays for Club Atletico All Boys. Owing much to his 2010 performances, the player has been a target for many clubs and the Fire are amongst them. Grazzini scored
five goals in the 2010 Argentine Primera Division from 22 appearances in the All Boys’ jersey.
“He’s one of many players that we’re looking at,” Klopas spoke of the Argentinean. “There are a few; we just got to make a decision. I’m sure you’ll find out soon enough.”
This would be Grazzini’s first North American club in his professional career. The 30-year-old had the best stint at Sestrese Calcio in the 2007/08 season, scoring a whopping 22 goals in 45 matches on all fronts.
His addition to the roster will be a strong addition to the line-up. With his http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Skills-c40539 and experience, an aspect that is severely lacking in a relatively young squad, Grazzini can prove to be an asset for Chicago Fire.
