Gate way 210 projector

Question

i purchased used 210 to give to my parents for christmas it powers up fine but the image is all hazey and unreadable /also dosn't seem to be gatting signal from my laptop i have a infocus at home works fineand the laptop installed hard ware seems to be working any helpwould be nice as i would like to make the christmas nice please help thank you!
