Gateway laptop not working

Question

HiMy original 65 w ac adapter for my Gateway MA2 6021GZ notebook caught on fire for no reason a year ago. I went back to Best Buy and they sold me a Targus 90w adapter. A few weeks ago my notebook stopped working. the blue light on the Targus adapter still comes on though. Is my notebook damaged or is it the Targus adapter. I call Gateway support but they really don't know what they're doing. Can you help? I'm desperate. [e-mail]
