Gateway laptop puchased Jan.13, 2008 is now... Gateway Laptop model ML6232 locking up - can't

Question

Gateway Laptop model ML6232 locking up - can't start main page - locks - blue screen - reboot to black screen - Safe Start etc.... System restore attempted 3 times going back to April 7th - when the lock up started today, May 5th. No new programs, only noted some photos off Photo Bucket were downloaded onto this laptop. Going online, shows a number of similar problems with Gateway laptops around this time as well. Please Help?????
