Gattuso wants A.C Milan to sign Aquilani or Montolivo: Serie A news
A.C Milan vice-captain, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Riccardo-Montolivo-c31049.
Milan have been linked with a move for a top class attacking midfielder for the past few weeks but their budgetary constraints have delayed the deal to be completed as yet. Several names were linked to the Italian Champions but
some of them had too much price on them, while others were not available.
Having seen his side struggle in the midfield department in the recent Italian Super Cup win over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan, Gattuso believes that a new midfield player of highest quality is a must this summer. San Siro legend, Andrea Pirlo,
left the club to join Juventus this summer and manager, Massimiliano Allegri, has failed to find his replacement.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 midfielder believes that Milan can easily be caught out with the pace of the game and they desperately need a player who can keep the flow of the game moving. The 33-year-old believes Aquilani and Montolivo can
be an ideal choice, as the two players have immense talent and they will suit Milan’s game.
Talking to the reporters Gattuso said, “The way I see it, Milan need a new man in midfield. We more or less all have the same characteristics in that area. We need a player who can get the team moving a bit more.”
“Perhaps Aquilani pushes up more, while we all know Montolivo, as he has been an Italian international for years. Aquilani and Montolivo are both players of great quality.”
Milan have been linked with a move for both of the players and at the moment it seems like they are the best available options given the club’s budget. Montolivo is in the last year of his contract at Fiorentina, while Aquilani
is unsettled at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adriano-c3773 Galliani, has stated that they will wait until the final week of the transfer window to decide whom to sign.
Milan will kick of the new season against Cagliari on August 27th, 2011.
