  1. Hi there-Heathrow is closer, but Gatwick is alot less hassle to get out of! - We stayed here recently: http://www.ramadajarvis.co.uk/gatwick and made it up tp Newmarket no probs. Cheers

  2. Heathrow is definitely much closer than Gatwick.

However, Stansted is closer than both and also often has cheap fare airlines flying in.

Check out flights to Stansted - it's 40 minutes from Cambridge.

Travelling from Heathrow to Cambridge - the best way is to take Heathrow Express (a fast train) to Paddington, tube from there to Kings Cross and then the Train to Cambridge. The National Express airport coach gets snarled up on the motorways. (It is cheap however).

Gatwick is located on the south coast near Brighton and so it's literally miles and miles from Cambridge. If you take the Coach, it will take you to Heathrow first then on to Cambridge from there! (I've done this trip - it's vile).

  3. from Cambridge you can National express coach to both Heathrow and Gatwick airports, both served by same coach service JL797

to Heathrow takes about 2 1/2 hours, to Gatwick 3 1/2 Hours, but depends on Traffic, as it uses M25

  4. Heathrow is closer

  5. Research it on the Internet......I would say Heathrow....But i'm taking a Guess
