Question:

Gauges. It it an Infection?

I have about a size 4g. And I clean them out fairly regularly, about every other day. I clean them with The ear cleaning solution that I got when I pierced my lobes next to the gauges and then put neosporin on them.

Well... the other day I was at my friends house and I didn't have anything to clean them with and they were getting kind of... crusty? So I used Hydrogen peroxide. And then I saw little tiny white things on the inside of the gauges. Almost like whiteheads. So I kept cleaning, and they didn't like the hydrogen peroxide and got all swollen, but by the time I was done, the while was mostly gone but still there a little.

It has been a couple days, and they itch really bad and are fairly crusty. I haven't stretched in about a month, and they don't hurt. But they itch!

WHY!?

  1. First off, why would you want to stretch out your ear lobes? Think of your self in the future. An old lady with ears like that? That is DISGUSTING. Have some respect for yourself.

  2. quit poking frigin holes in your head. hows  that for a solution.

  3. I agree with Versantly, it might just be the type of gauge you put in your ear.  Don't listen to any of the haters, expression is expression, no matter how you choose to do it.

  4. take out the gauges, wash the wounds with warm soapy water, and see your doctor.  you could be allergic to the metals in the gauges.  try titanium.
