  1. SLOWLY! =) Stretching can be a bit difficult and painful. The best, most painless way I have seen it accomplished is by using hollow gauges and attaching weights to them so that the stretching can occur gradually. Heavy metal beads work well for this and don't look overly ridiculous. =)

  2. put them in while in the shower..thats what all my friends tell me.

i just push them in w/ all my strength and bear the pain, bby!!

  3. get a spiral taper, that way, you will be able to start with it fitting in your ear as a 2 and gradually you will push it a little more each day- because tapers go from small to big, and by stretching it and pushing the earing further a little each day, you can easily get to a 0.

or, get weighted guages- meaning just get a size 2 that is made of metal or something. so the guage will be heavy enough to make your earlobe hang just a little bit and will naturally stretch itself( this way hurts the least)

  4. All I can say is don't do it too fast you'll blow out your ears, which means the skin will grow back behind the gauge.

  5. with time

  6. Spiral tapers are a good idea, they look better than the straight ones.  Do NOT force them like one girl said, that could result badly.  Id say heavy plugs, but a 2 is pretty small, so it probably wont make much of a difference.  You can oil your tapers to make them slide in easier (though theyll be able to slide out easy too, so use O rings to keep it on if need be when using oil.  Try using spirals/tapers and take a nice hot shower, then oil them up when you get out and slide them a litter further every couple days (if it hurts, back it up a little, no need to hurt if youre patient).  Doing stretching when you get out of the shower is good because the heat and steam increase the bloodflow in your skin and increase the skin's flexability. If you go to a shop that sells rock/natural plugs, they can measure the different plugs and find you some that are a little inbetween a 2 and a 0.  If youre in a hurry, and I really feel edgy about recomending this as its not always safe, but silicone eyelet plugs can be squished down and put in, theyll expand and streatch the ear fairly evenly, but be very careful with this...
