  1. I think if you go to a legal aid clinic and ask for a lawyer to help you out with this problem - you would probably be eligible for legal help.

Immediately go to the department of Family Services, have them look into the living conditions of your child.

There are support services in the states for natural mothers who had to make this difficult decision to give their child over to adoption.

Find these support groups and ask them to help you.

There are people in this world who make it their life's  work to help other - seek them out.

    God Bless you

  2. If your daughter was legally adopted by your cousin then you have the same chances of getting her back as anyone else in your family. Once adopted, the fact that you are her biological mother means nothing legally anymore. But, since you are a relative then you have a decent chance.

I would get in contact with a family law lawyer immediately!

    Good luck!

  3. Adoption is such a beautiful thing.

Another adoptee gets that better life, ahhhhh.

  4. Since you are the biological mother you have a very good chance of getting your daughter back.  Definately talk to an attorney asap.  thx

  5. I realize your life was unstable at the time so you choice to do what you felt best for your child. However there are options and programs out there to assist mothers down on their luck.  If the child is not in a safe situation your first goal will be to get her out of that situation as soon as possible

As far as getting her back if she was legally adopted. You would have to go through the stages of adoption just like any other PAP.  Thats if her parents rights get  terminated as I am sure just like in the case of anyone her parents would have a change to get their act together.

  6. O.M.G. YES,  Get an attorney  to help you.

  7. Call dhs because the child is in danger.  Were your rights terminated and the child "legally" adopted?  If that is the case, it might be very hard to get your child back, but a good lawyer could help.

First get the child out of that atmosphere and into safety.

  8. You need to report any truly dangerous or neglectful parenting that you see any person commit to the authorities.

Focus on pulling your own life together and help teach others that kinship adoption is usually a really bad idea. You should have allowed authorities to place your child with the best parents available not the ones who were most genetically similar to you.
