  1. If I were you I'd pick Marcum. Sure, he's on DL and might get activated by July 21 as a best case scenario, but he's a better pitcher than Floyd.

Marcum has 86 strikeouts in his innings in his 98.2 innings pitched. Floyd only has 73 in his 109 innings.

Marcum also has a lower ERA and WHIP than Floyd.

    Marcum - 2.65 ERA, 1.00 WHIP

    Floyd - 3.22 ERA, 1.12 WHIP

The only probably with Marcum is that he only has 5 wins compared to Floyd's 10.

If you're team is in desperate need for a pitcher right now or a pitcher who wins a lot of games then Floyd is your guy. If you can wait on a pitcher who will usually have a low ERA and WHIP every game and have a high strikeout count regardless of his inability to get a lot of wins, then get Marcum.

  2. Floyd. Marcum was injured with a right elbow problem(That is NOT good). Floyd should get wins because CWS is a good team and you don't know when Marcum will come back.

  3. a healthy shaun marcum is more valuable, but i don't know his timetable for return. the strikeouts are huge over floyd, and i think floyd's numbers will regress a little bit due to a low BABIP. also we don't know if he can handle the innings workload.
