g**s, does it annoy/ affend you when people say...?

When people say "Wow that's g*y"

or something like that? Cause i say it all the time. is it offensive?

Technically it is offensive, but it doesn't offend me.  i think it's kind of funny in a stupid way.

oh my god, I'm  like you ! I hate it when I think about it ,

because I never really realize its disrespectful , until after i say it.

When i say "that's g*y" I truly don't say it to be rude, i think that

being against g**s is horrible , but i never mean it in a bad way ,

it just slips out .

If its offensive to me I'll Punch you for it but yeah whenever I hear it it does annoy me but I try not to let such stupid things get to me.

Whenever any of my friends say it I usually question them about it. Like "...really I didn't know inanimate objects or emotions had a sexual orientation?"

And yes, it's offensive.  g*y is not a synonym for stupid.  When people say "That's so g*y" it's never in reference to something POSITIVE.  It's used to make fun of something, label something as odd, q***r, eccentric, weird, or abnormal.  So when you say something is "so g*y" that is the message you send out.  That g*y means weird, odd, eccentric, or abnormal.  

Pick up a dictionary and increase your vocabulary.  Stop using the oppressed as justifcation for your lack of knowledge.

i say it to lol and im g*y....i mean i think its okay if i say it b.c i am g*y you know but i dont mind when others say it either. as long as they arent using it in a hurtful way i could are less.

It doesn't bother me at all. I don't see why I should let something so silly bother me. It doesn't make me any less of a person. lol.

I go about my buisness. Lol. I don't usually care about those things. Even when they say g*y/bi people should be put into a closet and die, It doesn't bother me. I don't change for anyone. I am who I am.. nothing more nothing less. :P

And, strangely I'll even say it myself! lol I'm just that d**n comfortable with who I am ... haha.

nah i say it all the time too, idk y they would get offended, like if someone said thats straight (for wutever reason) i wouldnt care at all

with who i am. but, it sends out a really negative message

towards homosexuality which isn't really fair since it's

something uncontrolled.  so think about that next time.

it doesn't bother me and i say it occasionally. though when i say it it's usually in a playful or teasing manner. not usually to say something is stupid. it's not what the word means but what can you do. way too many people say it to change their habits.

I'm straight (Well maybe a bit bi sometimes but who isn't) and when people say things like this it really annoys me (I'm bipolar too so i get very annoyed easily) i consider it very immature but thankfully most people change this habit if you have a quick word with them and say that's not cool;)

I generally think of the person as uneducated or ignorant if they say it.

But to be honest, after this long it really doesn't phase me.
