  1. Well It depends. The OCR exam board doesn't seem to mind, whereas AQA is pretty strict. I don't think they can stop you getting your grade, or mark you down just because you used black. I know that the reason they are wanting only black ink this year is because of photocopying and computer scanning, so maybe as long as they can still read it clearly on the scan, you'll be fine.

  2. It's now BLACK - because of needing to scan the scripts. edexcel do heaps of scanning and online marking and AQA do a lot too. that's why they are so fussy. OCR does have quite a few online marking GCSEs BUT not all of them (they do not scan them if you answer in those separate lined answer bOoks rather than on the exam paper)  - that's why they are less fussy.

English is one of those essay type subjects like history 0 so you probably wrote your answers into a separate booklet - so no probs - you are OK.  Anyway it is your school's responsibility to tell you the rules and ensure you write in the correct colour pen. DO NOT worry.

  3. Sure its wierd how its all  BLACK PENS now

I wrote in blue for my biology i did in january and i got my mark back so they still mark it

Shitting myself for chemistry tomorrow!!!! i'll remember a black pen then shall i LMAO

  4. Its alright as blue as long as it was ballpoint, they prefer black however.

  5. Blue or black is fine, don't stress! :D
