Ge Television Repair

Question

Any technician who is familiar with the GE TV tuner and mpu shield connection problem please help.  I am thinking about repairing this problem myself.  I fix telecommunication equipment for the Air Force and have been to electronics and soldering schools.  But, I don't know where to begin to fix this common GE problem.  I need some advice on whether I should try this myself or have a television repair man do it for me.  I should have all the tools I would need.  If not at home I would for sure have it at work.  If anyone knows how I could learn to fix this problem please let me know.  Or if it is simple enough to just explain through an email I would really appriciate it.  Or, if I shouldn't even try please let me know that too.
