Ge side by side refrigerator. my refrigerator stopped work the other day its making a clicking

my refrigerator stopped work the other day its making a clicking noise like a relay but unplugged it defrosted for 24hrs and then works fine till its completly cooled or I try to use the ice/water dispenser then goes back into the clicking for some time then back to cooling. I think its thermostat by why does the ice/water dispenser afect it also please help John K. model # gsh25jfrf bb
