i drive a 1989 aoutomatic Honda accord and my gear stick has been very sticky when it's on park and I try to move it to reverse or drive. I was wondering, can I use some WD 40 and spray it on the stick handle

  1. Stop sitting on it....sorry dude that's funny. Spraying WD-40 on the stick will do nothing. I assume when you say sticky you mean it is tough to shift out of park. If that is the case, the problem is probably in the shifter cable, or the transmission. I hope for your sake it is just the cable. You could try to lube the cable under the hood, probably won't work but it is worth a shot, otherwise you will need to replace it.
