Gearbox trouble on my golf

Question

i recently had my gearbox refurbished bwt 4 months ago, last week my first gear messed up, i had a mechanic luk at it and he sed that wen they changedthe gear box they forgot to put the gearbox oil dipstick in, this has caused all the gearbox oil to fall out of the little dipstick hole and my first gear has messed up due to that. what can i do, where do i legally stand, can i sue the people who did my gearbox?? allanswers gratefully recieved. thanks in advance

Chap have you tried talking to the garage which repaired your g/box this would be the best place to start,be nice they may be more inclined to sort out your problem.Perhaps you should not say you noticed an oil leak good luck..

Yes you can sue them but how can you prove they didnt put the dipstick in it.

PS why have you not checked the level in 4 months ?

And did you not notice the oil leaking ?
