Gecko's calcium?

ok some people say to put a bowl with calcuim in it, do the geckos just go and eat it whenever they want or is it to put mealworms in?

  1. The insects should be lightly dusted, but YES the gecko will l**k the calcium out of a dish as well.  Always provide a small dish of calcium powder.

You should put a bowl of calcium in the tank of your gecko and you should also dust it's mealworms and crickets in calcium before you gave it because it's not all geckos who will eat calcium directly from the bowl. my husband and i have 18 geckos and we only saw one who eat directly calcium from it's bowl.

    its a good idea to put mealworms in the calcium bowl. my husband and i do it with our geckos.

  3. No, theyll not just eat the powder. Buy some Repti-cal powder and sprinkle some in a ziploc bag, then pour the mealworms in the bag. Shake up the bag. Pour the mealworms in its dish. The worms should be covered with the dust.
