  1. i personally would go with a bearded dragon..... they love to be handled out of the cage. GREAT FAMILY pet....... The geckos get sick very easioly! if you choose the beardie here is a great site

  2. They are both good beginner herps.  Bearded dragons are probably a little bit easier due to there large size and lax nature.  They both TOLERATE handling, but will probably not like it (you can hold them).  Bearded dragons get 18"-24" and leopard geckos get 6"-8".  A bearded dragon will need a 40 gallon long and a leopard gecko will need a 10 gallon.  Leopard geckos eat crickets, mealworms, wax worms, pheonix worms, and other "worms".  And bearded dragons eat mealworms and vegetation or bearded dragon pellets.  They both need heating (heat lamp).

    Leopard geckos:

    Pros:

    Small and managable size

    Cheap

    Easy to find

    Handleable

    Cons:

    Need live food

    Smaller

    Harder to hold

    Bearded Dragons:

    Pros:

    Bigger

    Don't need live food

    Easy to hold

    Kind

Easy to find in pet stores

    Cons:

    More expensive

    Lazy

  3. A gecko requires a lot less care than bearded dragons, geckos need a a few crickets every other day as do bearde drgaons but bearded dragons also like a fresh greens, bearded drgaons will not drink out of a water dish so need to be sprayed with a mister regularly, also bearded drgaons require a lot more space than a leopard gecko, a leopard gecko will need not much more than a 10 gallon tank whereas with a bearded dragon you will need a 75 gallon minimum, however bearded dragons do enjoy being handled more than leopard geckos do as geckos are quite happy not being handled at all, if you dont mind the extra work i would go with the bearded dragon

  4. No reptile really loves to be handled but as far as not minding it so much both are about the same. Your husbandry would have to be a bit larger for a bearded dragon but both generally eat the same thing crickets meal worms your bearded would enjoy an occasional pinky but both are great lizards, especially for beginners. Good Luck and do research on both before you buy!
