  1. It probably a parasite. Take everything out of the tank and clean it, clean the tank too. See if that helps. Or you may need to buy a new tank.

  2. i personally have never heard or seen anything like this but i would definitely clean the tank thoroughly....and everything in it. Give the geckos a short bath too in luke warm water..their not gonna like it but if it is some kind of parasite it would offer some relief.

honestly i would take them to the vet..if you do take a sample of the "white moving stuff"

or tell your friend to do that.

  3. Has she been cleaning the tank?

It sounds like the white stuff could possibly be maggots? Do they look like little worms?

I'm not entirely certain as to what it might be, but it sounds like your friend needs to put the geckos in a safe place, and then THOROUGHLY clean the tank. Dump the substrate, get new, clean any rocks, hides and plants in the tank, scrub out the water dish and the tank itself with hot soapy water and rinse very very VERY well. Make sure no soap residue is left behind! After the tank has dried, add brand new substrate and the cleaned rocks/hides and add new water to the water dish. Hopefully that'll help.

  4. I don't have a tank. I have a Dodge Neon, and my gecko saved me a bunch of money on insurance by switching to GEICO.
