Gecko not wanting crickets???

i have 2 leopard geckos a male and a female. they are in separate tanks... i have been feeding them a mix of crickets mealworms and waxworms every often.. both of them seem to have stopped eating the crickets.. they are both adults.. Is that normal for them to stop eating the crickets??

  1. It has been known to happen. When geckos are fed waxworms, they often prefer them to everything else.


  2. Waxworms should only be used as a treat for your leopard geckos, not as a primary food source. That is most likely the reason why they aren't eating crickets. Try not to feed them waxworms every day, if the geckos are hungry enough, I'm sure they will eat the crickets in time.
