Gee, why would Dasani put SALT in their bottled water??

could it be that they want us to drink more water? check out the ingredients. why would anyone want water with salt in it???

Most all bottled water is ozone purified so the need to chlorinate is long past.  The salt is to provide electrolytes similar to gator aide not to make your thirsty.

Hektor - Do you really think salt purifies water.  Check your chlorine generator out on your salt pool.  It makes chlorine man.

Oh no i am so sad to hear that they do because desani is all i drink. salt makes people thirstier so they  probably put salt in hoping that youll buy lots of their water.

I agree with hektor.  But sodium isn't the only salt out there.  And Electrolytes are salts.  So having a gatorade really isn't better than the water.  Try getting a Brita filter pitcher.  And re-using your plastic water bottle from dasani.

What do you mean, why?

Sodium is a way to purify water without using chlorine and other chemicals. For instance my pool water is purified with salt instead of chlorine, and it has a much more natural smell and doesn't sting your eyes, and the water feels much nicer to swim in. It feels slightly heavier.

So sodium is likely used by Dasani instead of chemicals. Which would you really rather drink? I'd choose salt all the way.

I don't think they're so stupid they'd assume nobody would find out if they put salt in their water so you'd drink more.

They put it there because its a minaral to help u. but its so small no one could tell its there.

There's not enough salt in there to make you thirsty and want more.

And like someone else said, it would be stupid on their part anyway, as health conscience that people are nowadays they couldn't possibly think that people wouldn't know it's in there. It's not to make you more thirsty. If anything, everyone saying that it does is what makes you more thirsty, the whole self fulfilling prophecy thing.

all bottled water has some salt in it, but if Dasani has more then they want you to get more thristy from their bottled more so you will drink more MEANING you would have to keep buying their bottled water
