Geek squad at best buy uses thx speaker wire to run long distance for home theater?

is there wire any good and what gage do they use

I dont know what guage they use, but I hope they have the sense to know that resistance inreases the longer the wire, so you need a lower (thicker) guage wire (guage depends on didtance)

they are useing a wire that is Multi purpose.  I do not know the gage if the wire but some wires will work for more than one purpose. thay is the type they are using, Not all wires are able to do this.

Depends how many feet, but 16 gauge wire should be appropriate. For most living rooms.
