Question:

Geelong Cats, Questionable?

Don't you think that its a little strange that over the last fair few seasons Geelong has been playing pretty badly, apart from a win in the 06 nab cup, but then suddenly in '07 they start off with a few loses then just blitz every single team, except Port Adelaide at the end of the season, winning by huge scores. Then win the grandfinal by a record margin. Doesn't this seem a little suspicious and near unbeleivable to anyone else? All teams have to have a bad spell sometime, take the Eagles at the moment (GO EAGLES!), and then bounce back but come on a team can't suddenly start winning games like that after being bad for so long

  1. yea i do kinda agree. i saw the cats players the otha nite sniffing something but maybe that was something to help them breathe.

  2. Geelong had 9 all-Australians, guess that the panel judged nine Cats to be the best of the year--doesn't mean anything to you.

Honey B, you have been slupping some messed up honey. The administration of all leagues don't have time to determine who will win before the season starts.

    How stupid.

  3. i have the identical opinion of the west coast eagles as the previous poster

  4. They were a very young team around 4 years ago and everyone talked about them being champions. Then they missed the finals and everyone wanted mark thompsons head on a stake. I guess maybe they just all clicked at the right time. Maybe I'm insane but i honestly have no idea why they're so good. They;ve got mooney but i wouldn't rank him as one the best forwards. Scarlett is really good down back. But then again the weagles didn't have any real good key position players.

  5. You need to understand that the AFL administrators decide at the start of each season who will be allowed to win. This is relayed to the Umpires association  so that the desired results  can be forthcoming. The draft is based on tanking approved by the AFL.

  6. I agree, they should drug test them.

It is a little strange, although maybe they just clicked.

Either way, a drug test would be the correct thing to do for the AFL.

  7. The Cats have finally become a cohesive team, with no individual efforts required to win games.  If you look at the eagles who are now washed up, why?  They had 2 outstanding players, cousins and judd.  Without them they are just a bunch of individuals, not a cohesive team.
