Gees! I can't decide whether to buy a Polaroid or Sony LCD tv, please, sincerely, which is the best...?

you can recommend for general beauty and performance?

Since I still can't decide I was thinking to buy a portable DVD meanwhile what do you also think?

Do not buy Polaroid.  It is what is known in the retail business as a tier 3 product.  Meaning lowest quality.  All non major "name" brand televisions are really thought of as disposable.  Most of these base manufacturers do not offer support beyond the initial factory warranty, this includes parts.  So as soon as your television has a part fail it is as good as a used paper towel.

I am looking into purchasing a new lcd as well...the two I have narrowed it down 2 are Sony and Vizio...Polaroid would be a very strict NO for me.....I work in electronics and Polaroid and Samsung have the highest repairs in lcd tv's...So if I were you i would stay way away from Polaroid and go to sony

Sony is much mich better than polaroid because the design of sony hides the spekers and is simple which makes it look amazing and it comes with a braia engine which gets the LCD started quicker and gives amazing picture sharpnees and clarity. It also is a beeter company and they will provide better customer Satisifcation and repair.

Look under your post. On nearly the same page there are 2 different people complaining about problems with their Polaroid TV's.

Sony's are more expensive, but tend to be rock solid.
