Gender issue?

im 22 as is my boyfriend and ive known him for like 6 years and hes my best friend we've always talked about everything or so i thought then he tells me that he was seeing a shrink which i knew and he was diagnosed with gender dysphoria and i was the first he told after about a month of getting up the courage to do so so ive been trying to read a bit about it but i hate to say this but i dont know what im supposed to do or think, i reacted well cause he is great and i love him and but how do i handle this cause its just something im not familiar with but i want to be supportive but im a little scared myself i can just imagine how hard it is for him has anyone been in this situation i mean im not a L*****n but i love him so much what should i do im scared and he told me that even if it caused him pain or discomfort he wont act on this so i can be comfortable but i dont know what i should tell him Help!? please

  1. If you care about him like you claim to, you'll support him in any way possible.  He may not be your significant other in the future like you have planned, but at least you'll be friends and he'll respect you for helping him discover his true being.  Just let him know that you love him and you'll be by his side throughout everything.
