I don't think jack johnson could win over gene tuney.just look at jack johnsons record 14 losses,14draws and 14 no contests in 124 fights compared to gene tuneys 86 wins with only 1 losse.plus jack johnson was a dirty fighter who would kick and bite in a fight..........and gene tuney has the same style as ali so saying jack could beat gene is like saying he could beat ali it just won't happen.

Great boxing match here.  Neither man has much of an advantage either way in this fight so I consider this to be a really close fight.  I think that Tunney had the better ring movement and Johnson probably had the power advantage.  Johnson was a master at blocking and countering punches and parrying.  Tunney was great at using his jab and also countering effectively.  I believe that each round would be close with some being even rounds and hard to score.  Both men have good stamina and endurance.  Tunney may have the quicker hands and throw a higher volume of punches in my opinion.  Tunney would win rounds 1,2, 5, 8,11.  I have Johnson winning rounds 3,4,6,10,13 with rounds 7,9,12, and 14 being even or 5-5-4 entering the 15th round.  Tunney ends the 15th with a flurry of punches and wins the round and the fight by a very close decision.  I almost called this one a draw because I think it would have been that close.
