  1. Don't know if this is what you want

    Look up the name GRILLS

    “Oft shall glowing hope expire

    Oft shall wearied love retire

Oft shall death and sorrow reign

Ere we three shall meet again,"

  2. I'm not sure but I think Petis is in france. It sounds french and Armstrong was a norman if I remember correctly so...

  3. The nearest name I could find in Dundalk is 'Peetustown', or, on the map reference (3) below, spelt 'Petestown'  which sounds similar to 'Petis'.

I found the name Armstrong in the 1865, Louth County voters list:

    Voter's Name: Armstrong Thomas J.,

    Voter's Address: Peetustown,

    Name of Landlord: Lewis Upton,

    Barony: Dundalk Lower

If the tomb reference also mentions 'Grills, this name is also listed with an address at 'Peetustown'.

Sites below, 1. Armstrong reference, 2. Grills reference 3. A map showing Petestown in Carlingford, which according to the map at site 4. is the area known as 'Lower Dundalk'.
