  1. Murdering scumbag. Simple.

    Clearly the thumbs down came from his family or people who just haven't a clue who he was or what he did. Cretins.

  2. He learned from his mistakes and turned the poor British Army of 1916 into the war winning fighting force of 1918

  3. General Douglas haig,starter of the original poppy appeal world war one . had a great idea that soldiers should slowly walk forward to engage the enemy instead of keeping their heads down and using tactics,well thought out considering he was 30+ miles behind his troops,nice one,NOT.

  4. Well said ding dong. Haigh was the hero who had boys in their teens shot at dawn because they usually were guilty of having shell shock. Good old, stiff upper lip, British Generals leading from the back had to make an example of their "cowardice" and he was the one who signed their death warrants. It amazes me that the Royal British Legion use his name ( The Haigh Fund ) when collecting money through the sale of poppies.

    Edit;

    Right again Ding Dong regarding the inverted thumbs.

  5. Yes, so what is the question

  6. Never heard of him. There was a General Haig later Field Marshal Haig   a fine British military leader
