  1. Read a paper everyday.

I know of a school near me that don't teach the course, but gave students a paper on the day, told them to read it and then they sat the exam.

Just have some opinions ready, some ideas about the world and politics, be able to argue a point of view and back it up with some kind of fact. But be balanced and look at things from views you may not agree with too, to show both sides of the argument. Always sum-up at the end, by condensing it all, but don't say anything new.

  2. My best piece of advice is to turn over the page!! During mine in 2004 half the people I know didn't realise there was another question (which was 1/2 of the exam) on the other side of the page, so they only answered 1 question out of 2 and failed! So make sure you check the other side of the paper and answer all questions, alot of my friends got Ds and Us whilst I got an A just by turning over the page!

  3. Keep an eye on current affairs.

  4. Ok..remember on the source questions to talk about how reliable to the soure is, like if u have a bit out of a newspaper then its reliable because its from a newspaper, and if its a source writen by a random, then its not reliable because it may not be truthfull.

also remember your grammer, and write about 3 paragraphs on each question...intro, answer, conclusion

btw thats just 4 the writen test, and english =]

    xx

  5. Doing mine in like 11 hours. started revising now. just give examples, i mean it is just general knowledge thats why its called general studies :))

    Good luck :)
