General electric blender

Question

I have a Insta-blender model No.BL10 V/74546
Cat No.22/01. which has been the most fantastic kitchen appliance I have ever had, I bought this appliance new in the 70's and has never failed me, I would really love to be able to get it fixed.
the problem is when I switch it on it throws out the breaker on the meter box.
Can I get parts for this blender?? is there someone in the Hervey BAy q4655 area where it can be repaired.
