Question:

Generic Disposable Diapers?

I usually use cloth diapers. I am an avid fan of my Bumgenius 3.0 diapers. I send my son to mommys day out from 9am to 1pm 2 days a week. I have finally gotten the cloth approved for use at mommys day out but now my son is involved in mommy and baby infant gymnastics and disposables are a MUST.

I used huggies but refuse to pay that much for disposables since the most I will use is 2 diapers a week.

Which generic is the best? Target? White cloud? Publix? Albertsons? CVS? Walgreens? What has your experience been?

Btw: My son is almost 7 months old, 22lb 12 oz and 29 inches. He can sit, crawl and almost pull to standing so VERY mobile.

  1. I love Target brand!  My son is in size 4 and we've been using Target diapers for months now.  He's 1, so he crawls, walks, climbs, etc. And I've never had a problem.  I buy one box of diapers per month for him -- 1 box = $13ish, and has 92 diapers.

  2. I don't understand why you have a problem with the cost if you are only going to  be using 2 a week...Huggies supreme are the BEST diapers for on-the-go kiddos.  Don't make your child settle for something that will leak and/or bunch up!

  3. honestly the generics all kinda stink! I've tried them all and have never found anything that works for my son! Try luvs, they are much cheaper than pampers and huggies but a little more than generic but they are 10 times better than the store brands.

  4. We use Especially for Babies Supreme, found at Babies R Us.  My daughter is healthy in size & very mobile at 9 months.  These diapers have never leaked and have held in multiple potential blow-outs.  They are thin (for mobility), nice in length (she's tall) and pretty soft for a disposable.

With my son, we used Huggies Supreme until 2.5 when he was potty-trained.  I can't believe I wasted so much money.

OR- look on your local craiglist. Sometimes people will post partially used diaper packs (many free) as their children outgrow sizes.  Good luck!

  5. I haven't tried all the brands but, I have used the ones from Target and I think they are pretty swell for moving babies.
