Generic Prozac?

Question

My doctor told me to start taking my Fluoxetene in the mornings instead of at night. I forgot to ask....can that be taken on and empty stomach?

its best to ask this question to your local pharmacist.....they would have the best advice...I wouldnt trust the internet with medication/prescription questions...

Yes, fluoxetine can be taken on an empty stomach. It doesn't irritate the stomach and is well absorbed after oral administration, whether or not food is present, and peak plasma concentrations are attained 6-8 hours after a dose.
