Generic host error

I have a net connection through LAN card. Suddenly i have an error witha message svchost error,and a dialog showing generic host process forwin32 stops. I have tried microsoft updates but no result , same withantivrus and antispyware scan. My sound als stop respondingimmediately. Plz help
