ok i am 12 turning 13 in November 18. i am about 5.1.

my mom is short

and my dad is tall

will i be tall or short?

  1. Height is controlled by many genes (not simple dominant, recessive relationship), so the answer is, your height cannot be determined by genetics. Environmental factors are huge, the question you should be asking is, "What environmental factors affect height?"

  3. The information that you give is not enough to determine how tall you will be.  There are a number of  factors that you have to look at such as environment and your nutrition. You share a percentage of your grandparents genes and, that would be a factor also. Even with that you would have to know if the trait for height is; heterozygous dominate, homozygous dominate, or recessive. More than likely you will grow, don't worry about it.
