  1. You and your husband share your HPV type…even though he does not show any signs of the virus.  Only one in 100 people with the low risk HPV types 6 or 11 will show a wart when they carry the virus.  You and your husband will most probably build immunity to your shared HPV type.   Visible genital warts are usually of low risk HPV types 6 or 11.

You can acquire oral HPV…it may or may not show as a wart in your mouth.  There are test for oral precancer lesions....to know more about oral HPV go to this website.  www.oralcancerfoundation.org.

I am not sure when your are planning on becoming pregnancy….but it is probably best to wait until all your v***a warts have been removed.  Hormone changes during pregnancy can sometime make the warts growth…give your body a bit of time to heal.

Most often a c-section is not necessary when you have HPV.  There is a chance that you might pass the virus to your child.  If this type of HPV transmission did occur then the virus  usually affect the Childs vocal cords or larynx.  You can read more about this transmission at www.rrpf.org. It is very rare but rare does happen.

You and your hubby will be able to make a baby the old fashion way….You most probably will be one of the thousands of women who have an HPV infection but have a happy healthy a happy health pregnancy.  Your doctor will discuss any risk he may think you will have.

    I wish you well.

Hormone changes during pregnancy can cause genital warts to increase in number, get larger, or bleed.

If the warts grow large or uncomfortable while a woman is pregnant, a health care provider can treat them.

Pregnant women who have HPV infection usually do not give it to their babies.

  2. mami-sounds like the damage is already done.

and to answer ya question- yes it can be passed both ways

  3. why dont you just get artificially inseminated??? that way you don't have to have unprotected s*x with your husband and pass the warts??? and your doc will advise you abou the c-section thing

  4. from what i've heard it needs to be skin to skin contact in order to pass the warts.  i've recently read that you can pass it to your child.  it's a slim chance but it can cause the baby to be born with warts in the throat and pneumonia...

  5. Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) causes genital warts. HPV is very contagious, and is now the second most common STI after chlamydia. HPV is spread from one person to another during childbirth, vaginal, oral or anal sexual contact. Warts may grow on the p***s, a**s, or v****a. Some HPV types can cause changes to a woman’s cervix.
