Geniuses or Genii, the correct plural of the word 'genius'?

Is it debatable or is 'genii' the definite correct plural of 'genius'? I thought 'geniuses' is the english translation of the latin 'genii'? Maybe not?

  1. I didn't know about Genni...I usually say geniuses..


  2. As far as I know, and I don't pretend to know everything, the plural of genius is geniuses.  I've never heard of genii.  

  3. Geniuses, Genii, they both are plural of genius.

  4. English borrowed a lot of words from Latin. Genius was one of them. Genii is the correct form of the Latin plural. Which, when anglicized, is geniuses.  

  5. Genii is the plural of genius as in guardian spirits in Roman Mythology.  Geniuses is the plural of genius as in a really smart person.
