A.C Milan midfielder, Gennaro Gattuso, has expressed his love for Italy and reveals his reasons for staying at San Siro.
The 33-year-old revealed that he seriously considered an offer from Russian club, Anzhi Makhachkala, in the summer but his heart did not let him leave the Italian Champions. Gattuso admitted that he had a huge money offer but it
is never easy to leave a club like Milan’s calibre.

Gattuso admitted that now since he has retired from international football he will keep focused on the Milan http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 gave a lot to him and he wants to continue playing here for the rest of his career.
He added that the thought of retiring in a couple of years haunts him but he wants to prepare himself for it.
“Putting everything into the balance, I realised it wasn’t easy to leave a side like Milan. I prefer to go when I am no longer needed or even feel like a weight on their shoulders. I gave everything to Italy and the Nazionale gave
a lot to me. I had reached the point where I had to say enough, just like in a couple of years I could find the moment to stop playing football.”
“I mustn’t think about it, otherwise I get anxious and start biting my nails. The important thing is to be prepared, as that way you do not suffer.”
The former Perugia star has been a great servant for the Rossoneri since joining the club in 1999 and has gone on to make 461 appearances for the Italian Champions this far. He has also been part of two Serie A, 1 Coppa Italian,
two UEFA Champions and 1 FIFA Club World Cup and two UEFA Super Cup winning squads.
He also went on to make 73 appearances for the Italian national side and was part of the 2006 FIFA World Cup winning team.
