The Rossoneri midfielder insists that it is time for him to step aside and make space for new talent; Inzaghi releases a statement to fans on the club website.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gennaro-Gattuso-c14525 has confirmed that he will leave AC Milan in June, and believes that is a good opportunity for him to take some time off the game, and let fresh legs take his space at the Milan outfit.
The midfielder held talks with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adriano-c3773 Galliani on Friday, and it was believed that the veteran will be offered a one-year contract at the Rossoneri, despite his rare eye condition that kept him out for most of the season.
However, the Diavolo midfielder insisted that he is planning to part company with the Milan outfit in June, and stated that he will hold a press conference to announce his decision to the media.
The Rossoneri player went on to suggest that the goodbye to AC Milan might well be his farewell to football. The veteran stated that he is planning to take one year away from the game, and revealed that he has nothing planned out
for his future as yet.
While talking to the press, the 34-year-old said:
“Tomorrow we will hold a press conference at Milanello,” Gattuso told reporters at Milan after the meeting. I'll take a year out, this is goodbye and we’ll see what happens in the coming year. I have nothing on the table at the
moment.”
The Diavolo playmaker stated that a whole year has passed with the injury keeping him out of the field, and insisted that the time has come for him to bid farewell to the Milan giants as there is no space left for him at the club.
The veteran concluded that he will meet again with AC Milan, but not as a player.
On the other hand, Pippo Inzaghi, who has barely featured for the Milan outfit, this season, published an open letter to the fans on the club’s website, announcing his departure from the Rossoneri.
The Veteran striker stated that he has always played and won for the fans, and a triumph does not mean anything for him unless it is shared with the Diavolo fanatics.
Inzaghi insisted that the fans were there with him when he lifted trophies, and stated that he will always cherish those memories, and nobody can take them away from him.
Inzaghi will be the third veteran to leave the club after Gennaro Gattuso and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-Nesta-c4735 also announced their departure, at the end of the season.
