Geno's or Pat's?

which place has the better cheese steaks, and/or better food and service overall. so if you had to choose which one to eat, why would you pick that one over the other one

Pat's!  It is just a superior product...although the guy who owns Geno's is a strong advocate for speaking English ;)

PAT's, for sure. It is great and has the real taste of Philly! It has been rated #1 on both TV and magazines.

I have also been there, not fancy, but great food!
