Genoa President Enrico Preziosi blasts Laurentiis for unprofessional behaviour: Serie A news
Genoa President, Enrico Preziosi, has blasted http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 President, Aurelio De Laurentiis, for his behaviour during the 2011/12 Serie A season draw ceremony.
Laurentiis furiously left the hall in the fixture unveiling ceremony at Milan on Wednesday, 27th August, 2011 and blamed the officials for mapping a difficult fixture list against his side. The Napoli patron insulted
the officials and left threatening about resigning from his post.
Napoli were handed fixtures against A.C Milan and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan just after their first and second UEFA Champions League games respectively. The Azzurri chief was really angry over the first few fixture results that he did not wait
until the full fixture list and left the hall.
Laurentiis shouted, "It has all been mapped out against us. Enough is enough, I am going back to cinema. I am ashamed to be Italian! I want to change citizenship,"
Preziosi believes that Laurentiis’ behaviour is extremely shameful and he should control himself. The Marassi chief fears the consequences of President’s insult towards his colleagues and believes it will create unrest in the Italian
game and will damage the repute of the league.
The Genoa chief added that there are many other ways to discuss the concerns and Laurentiis used the wrong channel.
Preziosi said, "You cannot behave in such a way. One can think whatever they want, but to insult their own colleagues and call them stupid is not good. Aurelio does not realise how his behaviour makes things even more complicated.
We should avoid stirring up the people, our http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 is a delicate one. One may not agree, but for Christ's sake, there are other ways to express your disapproval."
The Napoli President believes that the higher authorities cannot stand his team’s success and everything was pre-planned against his side. He further mentioned the incident when his team were relegated to Serie C on false bankruptcy
charges and believes that the same thing is being repeated.
Laurentiis asked the international authorities to take appropriate action against the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio (FIGC) officials for maintaining double standards.
