The head coach of the Grifone outfit has gone on to give his assessment regarding the match against Lazio, and mentioned that they were slightly lucky, but...
Genoa have been performing consistently ever since the season started, and they have made many key changes to their line up for the current campaign. They have made several changes in their front line up as they have acquired the services of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Borriello-c23672
and Ciro Immobile from the victors of the Serie A title, Juventus.
Despite having a tough day at the office, De Canio’s men put in a clinical performance at the Stadio Olimpico to guide them to victory. What was perhaps the only real chance of Genoa in the match; Marco Borriello sprung to the ball the quickest to put the
ball in the back of the net.
Coach De Canio conceded that this had not been their best performance but went on to state that these things happened in the game of football and there was not much one could do about it. He also went on to comment on their performance against the holding
Serie A Champions, Juventus, where they performed exceedingly well and took the lead; but eventually lost out as the champions were clinical enough to score three goals on the night.
The Grifone head coach went on to remark that his team were unlucky then, but the tables got turned on the fourth match day of the Serie A campaign, as they overcame Lazio by 1-0. He went on to state that the Biancocelesti had put his team under increasing
amounts of pressure, which meant that the team were pegged back. However, he remarked that despite the pressure, they failed to make inroads into the match.
He went on to comment:
“Of course we had to suffer and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 would put us under pressure with their quality and Hernanes’ ability to go past his man, but for the most part they threw vague balls into the box. We didn’t play anywhere near as well as we did against Juve, but this
is football. It can give and take away.”
These are important three points for the Grifone, who will be looking to keep the current momentum they are carrying on.
