Gentle Flight hot favourite for I´m A Retired Greyhound, Get Me Out Of Here Trophy
Gentle Flight is expected to be dominant in the I´m A Retired Greyhound, Get Me Out Of Here Trophy at Hove in England on Tuesday, July 31, 2012. The Grade OR winner will be awarded a cash prize of £500.
The 515 metres flat race is scheduled to start at 22:05 GMT and the spectators will be looking forward to some exciting action.
Although there are some decent runners lined up for the race at Hove, yet it will be difficult for them to stand in the way of Gentle Flight, who is in excellent form right now. He has been given a general starting price of 9 to 4 by the bookies, which clearly
shows that they expect him to be strong. He will also attract a lot of bets from the punters.
Looking at the overall record of the S. Cahill’s trainee, it is pretty much clear that he does not have a lot of experience. Despite that, he will be a tough contender, as his confidence level is quite high because of his solid performances in this class.
The black dog made his debut in August 2011 and he was competitive right from the start of his career. His first outing was in a Grade GR event, where he finished third overall. This performance helped him grown in confidence and he started delivering better
results afterwards.
In his first Grade OR appearance, Gentle Flight was given a starting price of 3 to 1 and he was expected to give a tough time to his opponents. However, he failed to make an impression back then and finished in a disappointing fifth place. He was then sent
for a few trial events, which improved his skills.
Satellite Flight’s son out of Gentle Sherry then took part in a couple of more Grade OR events and managed to succeed in both of them. He was rated as the favourite in them and did not disappoint the bookies at all.
His victories would have pleased his trainer, who will now be hoping for a hat-trick in this class. However, things will not be easy for the favourite hound, as he will be up against some skilful runners such as, Jaytee Tiger and Holycross Prince.
