It seems like this type of movie is much more popular than it was in the past. Could feminism be affecting men's self-esteem to the point where this is a viable lifestyle option?

  1. Oh c'mon, that kind of kinky s*x already existed a long long time ago.

  2. You're quite naive if you think feminism created this type of behavior or type of movie or that it just became "popular". It's been around for a very long time..haven't you ever heard of S&M or BDSM or role-playing?

Ever heard of the sexual revolution? About 50 years ago? It caused quite a few people to be more willing to let others know what they do privately-versus hiding it. It doesn't mean it's increased fetish behavior-it's just brought it out of the closet a bit more.

Check it out: Leopold von Sacher-Masoch's novel Venus in Furs (1870) is essentially one long masochistic fantasy, where the male principal character encourages his mistress to mistreat him. Yep-feminism was going strong in 1870..lol.

  3. Yes.

  4. Oh God! I really don't want to see **** like that!

  5. That, or growing openness about sexuality means that this kind of fetishism is more widely acknowledged. "Slave" or not, that man is willing and consensual.
